Hachiken is a stiff middle schooler who is always pushed around by other people's expectation. Until one day he took a serious turn in his life, entering Faming High School. You will meet many hilarious character and eventful days, and mostly hard work life on the farm. We can also learn life philosophy, such as in episode 8 "man's worth can be judged by how he spend his hard earned money". There are hints of romance but it's almost non-existence.
We are talking food porn on a different level.Usually food porn consist of decious oily sugary sweet nectar of jesus food, with extravagant raw material and top-notch delicacy spice ( just like what we saw on Shokugeki no Soma), but Gin no Saji offer us different approach of how we see food porn.A delicious food is fresh fruit, and freshly picked vegetables, or even just recently chopped down cattle LOL. You might see some actual farm reference of farming life in non-disturbingly manner such as pig, horse-shit, and skinning animal, and cattle slaughtering.
Watching Gin no Saji, you don't care about the plot, or artwork (even though its heavily noticeable that the artwork comes from Hiromu Arakawa sensei). All you looking forward is what kind of event and conflict does Hachiken kun will catch on today? Recommended to everyone who still conflicted / not sure about their future, where to go from this point onward.
